International flair meets tradition

Eschborn combines metropolitan flair and the charm of nature

With its position in the east of the Main-Taunus district and bordering directly on Frankfurt to the south, Eschborn lies at the heart of the Rhine-Main region.

Eschborn was once a small village in front of the Taunus hills. From the 1960s onwards, important business enterprises settled here, bringing prosperity and growth to the town. Today the city is one of the most attractive business locations in the whole of Germany. The five business parks are home to more than 4,000 national and international companies, including Deutsche Börse, GIZ, BAFA and the German headquarters of Samsung Electronics, but a vivid start-up culture is also developing here.

Nevertheless, the city has preserved its historical charm. Green spaces and paths along the Westerbach invite you to go for a walk or a bike ride. Enjoy the art at the sculpture park in the district of Niederhöchstadt or take a break at the Alte Mühle (Old Mill) where a restaurant serves regional classics and specialities to suit every taste.

Whether it is music, sports or the preservation of traditions - Eschborn prides itself on a vibrant social life that is carried by very active clubs and associations. The public swimming pool is currently being expanded to include a new indoor swimming pool with eight 50-metre lanes suitable for competitions. It will be the first swimming pool in Germany to be heated with waste reused heat from a data centre.
